The Berlin Wife
Germany, 1938. Edith, shy and beautiful, fell in love with Jewish-born Julius and was swept from humble beginnings into Berlin’s glittering ballrooms and powerful society. Their marriage seems to answer all her dreams until the Nazi party gains power and daily laws begin to strip Jews of money and freedom. Rumours of people disappearing in the night and of horrifying camps spread through the city.
When Edith’s brother Joseph enlists as an SS officer and her family turns their backs, Julius refuses to believe he is in danger. One night the sounds of cries and breaking glass announce that Julius has been taken, and Edith realises she alone must try to save him.
