The Harvest
In Black River, Tennessee, the town lives under the legend of the Bell Witch and an alleged curse that haunts generations. Four families are bound by a ritualistic tradition: every year a member of each family finds an antique music box they must lock before time runs out, or face a horrific fate when the boxes open.
The families’ young offspring are forced into the witch’s sadistic game and must journey into the dark, twisted woods of Black River to search for keys that might end the curse. A haunting melody follows them through the trees as they struggle to survive the night and avoid the Bell Witch’s bloody harvest.

What to Know Before Reading The Harvest
This book is about a supernatural curse rooted in local folklore and a ritual that binds four families. Much of the setup centers on young members of those families undertaking a dangerous quest through haunted woods to find keys and lock music boxes. The peril is external and event-driven with a clear menace in the form of the Bell Witch and the boxes. This may appeal more to readers interested in folklore-based horror, group survival scenarios, and an atmosphere of relentless, ritualized threat.
