A Deal with the Elf King

Luella lives in a quiet village on the border between the human lands and the realm of magic, where townsfolk keep a heavy secret: the elves come for war or wives. Once every generation the Elf King enters the village to take a bride as Human Queen, fulfilling a centuries-old treaty meant to prevent humanity’s destruction. Luella, an independent herbalist devoted to her people, never expected to be chosen. When the icy, proud Elf King claims her and carries her to Midscape, she finds a land filled with wild magic that is dying. The power of the Human Queen begins to stir within Luella, and an unexpected passion grows between her and the Elf King as she faces the duty to save Midscape.
