Home Before Dark

Twenty-five years after Maggie Holt and her parents fled Baneberry Hall, a rambling Victorian in the Vermont woods, Maggie inherits the house following her father’s death. As a child she was too young to remember the events her father described in his memoir House of Horrors, and as an adult she does not believe his claims about supernatural happenings. Maggie returns to renovate and sell Baneberry Hall, but the locals resent the attention the memoir brought and figures from her father’s book wait in the shadows. The house itself begins to produce unsettling occurrences that mirror episodes in the memoir, forcing Maggie to confront the house’s dark history and her own beliefs.
