Humans of New York

Based on Brandon Stanton's blog, this book collects four hundred full-color photographs of New Yorkers paired with quotes and short anecdotes. Stanton began the project in the summer of 2010 and set out to create a photographic census of the city, traveling thousands of miles on foot to find and photograph residents and capture their stories. The book reproduces images from the blog alongside exclusive portraits and all-new stories in a hardbound full-color edition with a distinctive vellum jacket. It presents a broad cross-section of people in New York and emphasizes individuality and the spirit of the city.
