The Champagne Letters

In Reims, France, 1805, Barbe-Nicole Clicquot has just lost her husband and resolves to realize their dream of creating the premier champagne house now known as Veuve Clicquot. With Russians poised to invade, competitors vying for her customers, and Napoleonic court politics complicating business, she must distinguish herself to keep the house afloat and protect its future. In present-day Chicago, Natalie Taylor, newly divorced, flees to Paris and discovers a collection of the Widow Clicquot’s published letters by the Seine. She borrows those letters as inspiration to step beyond her comfort zone and build a new life, but a shocking turn in Paris forces her to choose whether to accept her losses or fight for a different future.
