About the Book

Brave New World

Bernard Marx, an outsider academic who feels alienated by this hyper-conformist culture despite his high social status. His life changes dramatically when he takes a vacation to a remote "Savage Reservation," a primitive landscape where humans still live naturally outside the reaches of modern technology. There, he encounters John, a young man raised on the reservation who has never known the civilized world. When Bernard brings John back to the futuristic metropolis as a guest, John's exposure to this engineered utopia sets off a profound clash of values, forcing a confrontation between the raw depth of human emotion and the sterile bliss of a manufactured society.
