The Historian

The Historian follows a young woman plunged into a labyrinth where her family’s past connects to an inconceivable evil: the dark fifteenth-century reign of Vlad the Impaler and a time-defying pact that may have kept his awful work alive across centuries. The search for the truth becomes an expansive investigation that reaches into learned records and intimate recollections. That investigation leads through monasteries and dusty libraries and into the capitals of Eastern Europe as the protagonist pieces together documents, journeys, and warnings linked to her family and to a long shadow of violence.
