A rogue planet is on a collision course with Earth and will destroy every living thing on the planet. Extinction is almost certain: twenty-six billion lives will be lost while nine million people are slated to survive aboard the Bertram Ramsay, a vast space station scheduled to leave Earth in months.

Jaxon Leith is among the chosen, plucked from the Bleeds, London’s towering slums, and thrown into Compression, the final brutal phase of training for life in space. The evacuation faces organized opposition from the Acolytes of Gaia, whose infiltration threatens the mission as launch day nears.

As a rogue planet threatens Earth, Jaxon Leith from the Bleeds must endure brutal Compression training while the Acolytes of Gaia sabotage the evacuation.

Reader guide

What to Know Before Reading Rogue

Large-scale survival and the logistics of evacuating humanity from a planet-ending threat. Much of the setup centers on Jaxon Leith’s move from London’s Bleeds into a harsh training regime aboard a planned space station called the Bertram Ramsay. The narrative emphasizes external action, danger, and sabotage by the Acolytes of Gaia rather than interior reflection. The speculative element of a rogue planet and the technical premise of a mass evacuation appear central to the story.
